Landscape design and building has been Manon’s focus, passion, and vocation for over 15 years. After studying at the renowned Horticulture Centre of the Pacific (HCP), she started her own landscape company in 2002 — a business that continues to grow and thrive today. She’s completed a diploma in Environmental Education at Royal Roads University and a Landscape Design Certificate through Guelph University. She achieved her Red Seal certification as a Landscape Horticulturalist in 2008 and has remained devoted to expanding her experience and expertise in the field. One of her career highlights was working as head gardener at Victoria’s beautiful Abkhazi garden, which is owned by The Land Conservancy.

Originally hailing from Quebec, the West Coast captured Manon’s heart and she strives to find ways to bring its wildness and beauty back to the city. While she loves the creative and technical aspect of her work, Manon also utilizes her talents and training to create positive change; she is an instructor at HCP, Gaia College, and the Compost Education Center, and is an advocate for organic practices and traditional foods. With a strong belief in community involvement and enrichment, she often gives local talks and workshops, and has acted as coordinator for the Penelakut First Nation food garden.
